Several trees have been damaged at Saumarez Park and have been removed to avoid any injury to the public.

The damage has led to a police investigation, and the following statement has been released:

"Sometime over the weekend of 15th and 16th June 2024 at Saumarez Park, damage was caused to a number of trees which resulted in them having to be removed to prevent danger to the public.

"Police are investigating this matter and would like anyone with information to come forward. If you have any information regarding this incident please contact PC 36 Mathews on 222 222 or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
