A 40-year-old man has been arrested after hitting a pedestrian with his van while they were walking on the pavement.
Guernsey Police launched an investigation after a person walking along the seaward side of Salerie Corner was hit by a white panel van at 02:15 on Monday morning.
The driver has since been tracked down and arrested. Enquiries are ongoing, however no further witnesses are being sought at this time.
Police say the pedestrian managed to escape without any serious injuries.
