A child was taken to hospital after an accident in the Castel this morning.
The boy was walking along Ruette De Fries after 08:00 today when they were involved in a collision with a passing car.
Guernsey Police and the St John Emergency Ambulance Service attended with the road blocked to other traffic and pedestrians while the situation was being dealt with.
At the time, the victim was described as a pedestrian who was said to have suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Emergency Department at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
In a further statement St John Ambulance has said: "The St John Emergency Ambulance Service attended a road traffic collision at Ruette De Fries, Castel this morning. The crew assessed and treated a male child at the scene before transferring the patient to the Emergency Department."
