The Medical Specialist Group has confirmed the appointment of a new member who has joined the island's team of consultant paediatricians.
Dr Amr Hadoura is now taking up his role on a permanent basis, having worked in Guernsey as a locum for some months.
Dr Hadoura is taking up his role with effect Tuesday 3 April 2018, joining Drs Sandie Bohin, Claudia Rettberg, Claire Betteridge and long-term locum Dr Yasin Lakhani.
Having graduated from Cairo University Medical School in 1993 before working in hospitals in Egypt and the UK, he comes with more than two decades of experience.
Dr Hadoura has undertaken specialist training in Paediatric Intensive Care and Paediatric Neurology, primarily at the world-renowned Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, and also holds Level 5 Child Protection and Level 6 Safeguarding Supervision qualifications.
Away from work Dr Hadoura enjoys various sporting activities, particularly running, and also enjoys listening to music, reading and travelling.
