A series of maintenance works are underway at Alderney harbour ahead of a busy summer season.
The Harbour Authority says replacements to the anchor of the dinghy pontoon are nearing completion and shouldn’t interrupt other services or obstruct facilities.
Weather will need to settle before the walkway and passenger areas are lifted, and the outer sections will be installed as per demand as the weather warms.
All the moorings will be serviced from 3 April, with all the work expected to take two weeks. Crane use will be restricted to cargo and essentials only to prevent delays.
Warps and tackle from buoys will need to be collected.
The harbour showers reopening has been delayed due to a longer renovating period. They are now expected to open at the end of April.
And the water taxi service will begin from 12 April, initially only operating on Fridays, weekends, and bank holidays.
The service will become daily from June until August.
