Calvin Goddard, 31, of no fixed address, has pleaded not guilty to one charge of threatening to kill a man in Guernsey's Magistrates Court.
But he admitted two counts of assaulting a police officer during the same court sitting yesterday.
Mr Goddard was remanded in custody following his appearance, and a review date was set.
He will appear again in the Magistrate's court in 21 days on the 21 February.
The charge Mr Goddard is accused of states that on the 21 December 2017 he made a threat to a man that he would kill another individual.
He then assaulted two police officers when he appeared at the Royal Court while being held custody at the end of December.
