The team who started knitting hats for babies in Ukraine during early 2022 are marking a milestone while also planning a get-together to mark their achievements.
It was recently confirmed that more than 35,000 hats have been knitted locally, with donations still flowing in and being sent to Ukraine.
Following the milestone achievement, the charity involved wanted to thank everyone who has helped along the way.
“We are very grateful to everyone who persistently knits, crochets and sews to help the young families of Ukraine,” said organiser Lilita Kruze.
An Afternoon Tea is being hosted at Anni’s Hideaway at Moore’s Hotel on Thursday 10 October, from 14:30 to mark the occasion and to thank those involved.
If supporters would like to attend, tickets cost £21, and seats can be reserved by ringing Lilita on 07781 455 088.
