New app offers "enjoyable nights out for everyone"

Sunday 17 March 2024

A new app designed to enhance enjoyment and safety on nights out has been launched in Guernsey.

Created by Guernseyman Adrian Norman, who has switched his focus from a career in finance to music management, the app is intended to empower people when choosing how to spend their free time.

The first launch event was held at St Pierre Park Hotel, with around 80 guests, on Thursday evening. Launches will also be held in Ibiza, and various cities across the UK.

The app is 'diversity, equity, and inclusion' focused so users can make choices about which venues to visit based on others' experiences.

Mr Norman has described the app as the building blocks for "the biggest knowledge base for event lovers and venues".

As users sign up, UniteVerse will direct them to different venues based on their preferences. It is intended to cover every sort of venue from the quiet cosy pub to large nightclubs and more eclectic venues.

UniteVerse will also offer event spaces and venues the chance to be fully transparent and engaging with their visitors.

They will be able to share information about admission, public transport, safety provisions, and more, through the app.

Mr Norman said he has created the app with the intention of building partnerships between the hospitality and nightlife sectors with their clients.

The app is available to download now.
