Several members of Sark's government have lodged a motion of no confidence in the island's Douzaine, which is currently populated by only one member.
The motion will be debated during the Easter meeting on 10 April.
"After recent resignations, the Douzaine committee has one member and is no longer quorate to meet," said the nine signatories of the motion.
"The Douzaine committee will struggle to be repopulated under the current chair's leadership, due to existing style and personality differences. It is my assessment that the Douzaine needs a fresh start so it can be re-populated with seven members and hence function correctly to serve Sark."
The members of Chief Pleas will be asked to vote on four propositions; that Chief Pleas has no confidence in the Douzaine and that Chief Pleas shall repopulate the Douzaine, appoint a new Chair and Deputy Chair.
The nine signatories of the motion are, Conseillers; Barker, Bateson, Couldridge, Harris, Le Lievre, Miller, Plummer, P.Williams, and S.Williams.
