The dining facilities at Guernsey Airport have now got a three-star food hygiene rating, after being re-inspected following their initial one star grade.
The one-star rating meant urgent action was needed in a number of areas, including food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and general standards.

That initial inspection (above) was carried out on 8 October, just months after the Bailiwick Bar and Kitchen opened this summer. They were reassessed on 17 October when conditions were said to have improved in a number of areas.
The management of food safety was the area in most urgent need of improvement according to gov.gg with systems or checks needing to be put in place to ensure that the food sold is safe to eat. That is now said to be 'generally satisfactory' while cleanliness is now rated as 'good'.

All of the food hygiene ratings for establishments in Guernsey and Alderney are listed at gov.gg.
All bar two establishments in Guernsey are rated at least three stars, with many achieving four or five stars. Only Driftwood Inn at Perelle and the Dragon Chinese Restaurant on the Bridge are rated two stars. The Driftwood Inn was rated at the end of September and the Dragon at the end of August.
In Alderney, the Marais Hall has zero stars following an assessment last month, Nellie Grays Indian Cuisine has one star following an inspection on the same day, and the Kiln Farm Dairy has two stars following a grading earlier in September.
All other listed establishments in Alderney are rated three stars or above.
