Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal visited the Bailiwick with crowds gathering to greet her as she met members of the Douzaine and public in Torteval.
Princess Anne was in the islands yesterday in her role as Master of Trinity House, which oversees and maintains lighthouses around the British Isles.
Trinity House is a charitable organisation "dedicated to safeguarding shipping and seafarers, providing education, support and welfare to the seafaring community with a statutory duty as a General Lighthouse Authority to deliver a reliable, efficient and cost effective aids to navigation service for the benefit and safety of all mariners."
As well as seeing Les Hanois Lighthouse off Guernsey, Sark Lighthouse and Les Casquets Lighthouse during her daytrip to the Bailiwick, Her Royal Highness also visited Torteval Church where she was guided around the recent restoration work and was involved in a short ceremony to commemorate its bicentenary.
The Princess Royal then met parish officials including Torteval Douzaine stalwart Pat Le Tocq.

During her visit to Torteval Church, Princess Anne also toured a series of outdoor displays that tell the story of rural and historic Guernsey. These included a vintage military display and the hand made 1500 poppies made by local crafters.
