Man fined for drugs convictions

Tuesday 10 September 2019

A 22-year-old man has been fined £800 by Guernsey's Magistrate's Court, after being caught with half an MDMA tablet and cannabis resin.

Logan Fallaize had the Class A tablet in his pocket when Guernsey Police searched him at The Quay in Town on 23 June.

Officers then decided to search his home address, where they found 4.63g cannabis resin.

Fallaize pleaded guilty to the charges at his earliest opportunity. He said both drugs were purely for personal use and has no previous drug-related convictions.

In his mitigation, Advocate Cobb said he was a "family man" and has "made real changes" to his life since the incident.

Judge Graeme McKerrell gave the defendant a fine of £400 for each conviction and ordered that the drugs be destroyed.
