A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of the aggravated burglary at the Vale Service Station earlier this week.
Guernsey Police confirmed this morning that he had been taken in to custody where he is being held while officers continue their enquiries.
"We have arrested a 24-year-old local male on suspicion of aggravated burglary at the Vale Service Station that took place between 03:30 - 03:45 on Tuesday 30 April," Guernsey Police said.
"He is currently in custody while enquiries are ongoing."
The incident left another man in hospital with unspecified injuries. He has been confirmed as a member of Vale Service Station staff who was at work when the burglary took place.
Guernsey Police have today described the aggravated burglary as a "particularly violent offence" and said they are continuing to look at different lines of enquiry.
"Guernsey Police is continuing to appeal to anyone with any information regarding this offence, particularly if you were in the area at the time or have dash cam or CCTV footage," a spokesperson said.
"This was a particularly violent offence and Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £750 for information leading to the arrest, charge and conviction of the offender.
"Anyone with information is asked to call police on 01481 222222 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
