Magnifique Hair Salon has hosted a 10th anniversary party, with activities and entertainment that raised over £1,800 for charity.
The event was held in memory of Amanda, a ‘dear friend and talented colleague’ to the Salon who died last year. In her honour, proceeds from the event will be going towards Macmillan Cancer Support and Guernsey Mind.
Guests for the event were catered to by a cake sale in support of Macmillan, and a bar, and were treated to live music throughout the day from Olivia Palmer and Imogen Hayman.
Guests also had the chance to win various raffle prizes, including sweet treats, champagne and beauty products donated by a number of local salons.
Maggie Bichard, owner of the Salon, also picked out a tree for her garden to remember Amanda by, which client and gardener Steve Wilson helped to pick out and plant.
"I just want to thank everyone as I was overwhelmed with the support," she said about the event's success. "It was a great day."
