Last chance to see the Halloween house everyone's been talking about

Friday 02 November 2018

Debbie and Clive Duport transformed their home into a Halloween house of horrors this week, and they've raised thousands of pounds for charity already.

They wanted to fundraise for Alzheimers Guernsey, but so far their expectations have been exceeded thanks to generous thrill seekers.

With donations ranging from 50p to £20, almost £1,000 had been raised by the end of Halloween, with the house remaining open for guests last night and tonight, before the Duport family can reclaim their home comforts and look forward to a weekend with less blood, and fewer decapitated dolls taking over their bathroom.

The idea initially was to open for a couple of hours a day, until Wednesday, but the Duport's House of Horrors has proven so popular that Debbie and Clive have kept it open for longer to enable everyone who wants to visit the chance to do so.

Mrs Duport said they are also considering doing it again next year.

"I am so delighted the way it’s gone and to see so many people come through the doors and lots even dressed up for it too! We have had fantastic feed back and people are surprised at how much we had!"

If they are to do it again next year, the Duport's will need to pack everything away carefully, so Mrs Duport has asked for any donations of boxes which are suitable for stacking.

Their home on Les Prins Estate will now be open for the last time this evening between approximately 17:00 and 19:00 for people to have a final ghoulish treat for the Halloween week.
