Described as 'Jersey's greatest living artist', artwork by Jason Martin remains on display, and available to buy, at Guernsey's Market Buildings this week.
It's the first time his artwork has been on display in its own exhibition in Guernsey giving the George Crossan Gallery above the Inner Street of the market a coup in the art world.
Mr Martin was born in Jersey in 1970 and left the island to study Fine Art at Goldsmith College in London, graduating in 1993.
His work was included in a display at the Royal Academy, put together by Charles Saatchi and he has subsequently exhibited in Germany, Italy, Spain and most recently New York and Paris.
The art work on display now at the George Crossan Gallery include pieces inspired by his home island of Jersey and Portugal where he has a home.
He used ink, dye, pigments and metallic particles to create a variety of colourful pieces on watercolour paper which are available to buy.

George Crossan Gallery curator, Paul Chambers, said Mr Martin is well known in the art world, having first come to public prominence at the same time as Damian Hirst and other notable artists.
He is best known for his 'monochromatic paintings where layers of oil or acrylic gel are dragged across hard surfaces such as aluminium, stainless steel or Plexiglass with a fine, comb like piece of metal or board in one movement'.
The George Crossan Gallery opened on a new mezzanine floor at the Market Buildings this year to create a space to showcase art work in the surroundings of the Victorian-era shopping centre.
