There are three weeks to go until the Last Five Years musical airs at the Fermain Tavern.
The musical has been written by Jason Robert Brown and "it explores the relationship between Jamie Wellerstein, a rising novelist, and Cathy Hiatt, a struggling actress".
The rehearsal schedule for the musical is said to be an "impressive logistical feat for everyone involved".
Organisers say "the show uses a form of storytelling where Jamie’s story is told in chronological order (starting just after they first met) and Cathy’s story is told in reverse (beginning the show at the end of their marriage).
"The couple’s timeline does not directly intercept except for a wedding song in the middle as their timelines intersect."
The musical has been directed by Elizabeth Beacom from Music Theatre Guernsey and has been supported by the Guernsey Arts Commission.
It'll take place at the Fermain Tavern between 9 and 16 August 2023. You can find out more ONLINE.
