Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II made six visits to the Bailiwick, with the first coming three years before she ascended to the throne, and her last being more than fifty years later.
As Princess Elizabeth, Her Majesty and her husband, first visited Guernsey, Alderney and Sark in 1949.
They returned in 1957, 1978, 1989, 2001, and 2005.
She visited Guernsey during each of those occasions, and on four of her visits she also travelled to Alderney and Sark to meet islanders and to carry out her official duties.

Among her many duties during these visits, she opened the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, attended a sitting of Chief Pleas in Guernsey, toured tomato vineries, and met school children.
She also conferred an MBE on the Seigneur of Sark, opened the Sark Medical Centre, visited the Bailiff's Chambers, opened the QE2 Marina, and attended a formal reception at the Alderney Island Hall.
Records of the visits show there were crowds to see them at every stop on their tours.
