Education is recruiting for a full time teacher - on a wage of up to £67,000 per year - to take on the Herm classroom.
The role is being advertised as Vauvert Primary School - Herm Class Teacher.
The role remains under the leadership of Vauvert's Headteacher, Adrian Paul and he is the point of contact for anyone wanting to apply.
Although the role is a classroom teacher, not a headteacher role - it is advertised with a Management Allowance of Level 2 at £6,475 per annum, on top of the salary.
The salary offered is between £37,680 and £53,857 and £56,847 and £60,430 per annum dependent on experience.

The former Herm school teacher was Mary Carey.
She was always described as the school's Headteacher.
She had taught pupils in the island for around two decades, until the Committee for Education, Sport, and Culture decided to close the school last July. The intention was for pupils to travel to St Peter Port daily to join fellow pupils at Vauvert Primary.
That decision was overturned by the States in the autumn, with the classroom reopening.
The classroom is now fully integrated with Vauvert Primary and is no longer a standalone school.
The new role does come with some management responsibilities though.

The teaching elements of the role will be broadly similar to every other primary school teacher in the Bailiwick with duties including implementing the Bailiwick of Guernsey Big Picture Curriculum, planning, preparing, and teaching stimulating lessons, and effectively using technology to enhance learning and teaching.
Specifically, the Herm teacher will have to teach classes from Reception to Year 6 both in Herm and on the main Vauvert site, and they will have to "consistently demonstrate the vision and values of Vauvert, both within the teaching and learning, as well as in the wider aspects of the role".
The management aspects of the role will include the day to day organisation of the Herm Class provision, including ordering all essential supplies and taking responsibility for the class budget.
Duties specific to the Herm teacher role include developing "strong, positive relationships with the Herm Island community" and "work(ing) closely with external agencies, local support services, and the wider States of Guernsey".
The new teacher will also be tasked with ensuring "there are effective arrangements in place for Herm Class to be successful".

Mary Carey was the teacher at Herm School for around two decades.
She did not return to the Herm classroom after it reopened in October, and she recently announced her resignation from the role.
Mr Paul confirmed her resignation in a message to parents last month.
