The Guernsey Music Service is celebrating its 40th anniversary with performances throughout today.
800 youngsters will be playing and singing through the day at Beau Sejour as part of the landmark celebrations.
The day will culminate in a grand finale of current and former students playing in an orchestra of over 100 musicians.
Relatives, friends and supporters of the Music Service were invited to attend.
The celebrations also mark Mervyn Grand's retirement as Head of Guernsey Music Service after 19 years in the role. He has helped to teach thousands of young students during that time.
