A man who went missing after being recalled to prison has handed himself in.
Anthony Hamon was jailed for five years in June 2022 for causing death by dangerous driving.
He was released from prison on probation but breached his requirements triggering a recall to prison earlier this month.
He could not be found initially, with a social media appeal put out by both Guernsey Police and Les Nicolles Prison appealing for anyone who knew where he was to get in contact.
In the last few days Hamon has surrendered to his prison recall and it's been confirmed he is now back in custody at Les Nicolles.
"Following our recent appeal regarding Anthony Hamon, who had been recalled to prison for breaches to his probation requirements, we can confirm he surrendered to police and has been returned to prison," said a spokesperson for Guernsey Police.
"Thank you to the public for helping to promote our appeal for information."
Hamon was initially jailed after the car he was driving crashed, causing the death of a teenager.
19-year-old Kade Bougourd was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the accident in April 2021. He died of his injuries a short time after the accident at Vazon.
When Hamon was sentenced to five years in prison by Guernsey's Royal Court on 24 June 2022 he was also banned from driving for 12 years.
