The winning ticket in the 2022 Channel Islands Christmas Lottery was sold in Guernsey again this year and the winner has claimed their prize.
This is the fifth year in a row that the winning ticket was sold to a Sarnian shopper - with a mixture of syndicates and individual winners claiming the jackpot in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021.
This year the jackpot was £545,118 - the winner has requested anonymity so we won't be revealing their name.
The £50,000 second prize winning ticket was bought in Jersey.

The winning numbers were announced at 18:00 on Channel Television after being drawn in Guernsey earlier. The draw was independently observed and verified by three Jurats from Guernsey's Royal Court.
The winning numbers are all listed below and can be verified at the the Channel Islands Lottery website HERE or via apps including one designed by System Labs.
Prizes can be claimed from Guernsey Post Headquarters in La Vrangue, St Peter Port, or Philip Le Feuvre House in Jersey.

The Channel Islands' Christmas Lottery raises money for good causes across the islands and has previously been billed as a 'millionaire maker' for those buying tickets.
This year's jackpot is the lowest it has been since 2008, but Senior Lottery Officer Jon Taylor said recently that a prize of around half a million pounds is still a life changing sum of money for many people.
He said a number of factors had contributed to a change in peoples' spending habits including the covid pandemic and the rising cost of living.
He also told Express that a review of the lottery is likely to be held in 2023.
