Guernsey Sports & Arts Lottery winners to be announced today

Saturday 04 May 2019

Five cars will be given away today in a huge fundraising initiative for local sports and arts groups.

The winners of the Sports & Arts Lottery will each receive a Fiat 500 car, donated by Le Mont Saint Garage, after tickets were sold by various groups across the island.

The draw will be made at 17:00 today, after a day of family entertainment at Footes Lane, including a mini Olympics, beer and cider festival and other activities such as Crown & Anchor.

The Guernsey Sports & Arts Lottery Commission, chaired by Martin Belcher, teamed up with Charlie McHugh of the Guernsey Rugby Club to organise the day.

The event is taking place at Footes Lane with activities starting at 10:00.

“The aim of “MAYTHE4THBEWITHYOU is to raise much needed funds for families and individuals within the Guernsey community from the proceeds of Sports & Arts Lottery tickets," said Mr Belcher.

“We want as many families, individuals and visitors to Guernsey to buy tickets in advance for an unmissable day out. Footes Lane is an iconic sports location in Guernsey and there is entertainment for all the family from Mini Olympics to local bands performing live and from a variety of food stall holders to the very best beers and ciders from within and outside Guernsey.”

Tickets start at £5.00 for an adult entry fee or £2.50 for children up to 16 years of age, with special offers for families.
