Guernsey Golf Limited has appointed a new female PGA Golf Professional – the only one in the island.

Natalie Goodall will teach at both St Pierre Park's Guernsey Golf Academy and the Golf School at the Royal Guernsey Golf Club. She joins the coaching team from Butch Harmon School of Golf in Dubai, where she worked primarily on junior and women’s golf programmes.

Originating from Scotland, Miss Goodall studied and played at the Darren Clarke Golf School in Northern Ireland, before securing a teaching post in Dubai.

"I’m very excited to get stuck in with junior and women’s golf in Guernsey. It’s a beautiful island and there is so much potential to grow the sport with these groups," she said.

"I love teaching people to play, whatever their level or age. I plan to develop women-only groups and coaching sessions, as well as reaching out to younger golfers, from the age of three."

Miss Goodall started playing golf at the age of 12 and played in competitions around the world. During her time at DCGS, she did numerous internships at the Butch Harmon School of Golf, where she helped with their junior programme, while shadowing the director of instruction, Justin Parsons. She graduated with a BTEC in 2013 and accepted a job at Butch Harmon, where she continued to work with juniors while creating new programmes for women’s golf in Dubai.

"Natalie is a fantastic addition to our coaching team, and we are delighted to have her here. Her enthusiasm for the game and for getting women and children excited about golf is clearly evident," said Matt Groves, managing director of Guernsey Golf Limited.

"Her passion, knowledge and determination to grow the game of golf is infectious and we are looking forward to seeing even more women and children get into golf as a result of Natalie’s appointment."

Miss Goodall, who is in the final stages of achieving her PGA qualification, is available for individual coaching. She can be contacted at natalie@golf.gg or 07781 161113.

She will be based at The Golf Club Monday, Friday and Saturday and Royal Guernsey Golf Club Tuesday and Thursday.
