The deadline for submissions is 30 September
The fun-filled Rocquaine Regatta is back for 2024. Enjoy a beautiful day at Rocquaine Bay on the west coast of Guernsey, this Saturday 27.
Unusual boat races take place throughout the day with fishing boats, small sailing boats and motor boats participating in casual yet highly competitive races!
You can join the fun as a spectator or get the children involved by joining events such as the junior sand events (apple bobbing, wheelbarrow races, pick a pint of winkles, three-legged race) or the new ‘Wife Carrying’ event.
Pavement artists, the Guernsey Majorettes and live music will accompany participants, spectators and visitors all day and an evening barbecue will conclude a fantastic day of fun.
There will also be plenty of live music to enjoy, courtesy of The Vale Earth Fair collective. Additionally, entry is free to the fascinating Fort Grey Shipwreck Museum all day, so you can combine your family day out with some fascinating history.

This week's Art Demonstration will be taking place at Blanchelande College at 10:00, on Saturday the 27 July.
Encaustic Art is created by heating coloured beeswax with electrical tools to manipulate the wax into images on high gloss paper; there is evidence of encaustic art from as far back in history as the ancient Greeks and Egyptians, preceding many other art mediums.
In this free demonstration Lynne will show the different effects that can be achieved with the different tools. No booking required.
Fancy some Grunge, Nu Metal and Rock n Roll? Pillars play the Yacht this Saturday 27 with The Doll Motel. Come on down. Free entry, music starts at 21:00.
