Saturdays and late night shopping evenings
The fabulous Town Christmas markets return this year to Market Square, and will run every Thursday evening and Saturday, all the way up to the 23rd of December! This year will again welcome a wide variety of stalls, fun, food and even live entertainment. Support local businesses, pick up some charming gifts, listen to our local talent, and immerse yourself in the holiday spirit!
Just can’t get enough of this year's festivities? You won’t want to miss this incredible performance brought to you by the Guernsey Glee Singers! Taking place at the Vale Church, this Sunday 10th of December from 7pm; the programme of seasonal music includes works by John Williams, Beethoven, Paul McCartney and Bob Chilcott, along with well-known carols and holiday pieces - a performance for the whole family! Refreshments available, free admission with retiring collection.

On Friday the 15th of December, the talented Guernsey Choral and Orchestral Society welcome you to their Christmas concert in the hall St James! GCOS is a large mixed-voice choir and orchestra that will perform a selection of Christmas music, including choir and audience carols, joined by young voices from the Guernsey Music Centre. Featuring a visit from Santa, this event is perfect for Christmas lovers of all ages!

On Tuesday the 12th of December, the Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts will play host to a live broadcast of The Royal Ballet’s ‘The Nutcracker’. A Christmas classic, this broadcast will be a festive treat for the whole family! “Peter Wright’s much-loved production for The Royal Ballet, with gorgeous period designs by Julia Trevelyan Oman, keeps true to the spirit of this festive ballet classic, combining the thrill of the fairy tale with spectacular classical dancing.”
Are you a poetry or literature enthusiast? Join the welcoming team at the Guille Allés Library for their poetry tea party! Taking place in the Dorey room of the library on Tuesday the 12th of December, the tea party will run for one hour between 6pm and 7pm, and is described as a friendly, informal group for poetry lovers.

Head to the Golden Lion this Wednesday to take part in the weekly ‘Drink & Draw’ life drawing event! The group is open to all abilities, and is great for anyone looking to socialise and get in touch with their creative side. Cost is just £10 to be paid on the day, £11 if you wish to pay by card.
All paper and basic supplies will be available on the night and are included in the cost of attendance, however, you are more than welcome to bring your own materials - and floor cushion - if you wish. Enjoy!
