GO launches Cycle Repair Workshop

Monday 07 August 2023

A new cycle repair workshop is being unveiled by GO, as part of a new training initiative that’ll also include an IT Zone.

These facilities have been adapted to provide trainees with valuable work experience. It'll offer people hands-on experience and practice with the help of qualified teachers.

Deborah Hollingworth is a Training Manager at GO, she said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for islanders who have been out of the workplace for varying reasons to gain confidence in their ability and develop skills employers are looking for.”

These skills will offer employees a boost in confidence and help develop attributes that future employers might be looking for.

IT Zones

GO has also launched a brand new IT Training Zone with three separate areas that’ll support those trying to get back into the workplace.

It has worked hard to deliver thtrainee areas, which will aid in developing new skills and are adapted to fit each person’s needs.

GO’s biggest aim is to help those who are seeking jobs to be equipped with the skills they need to ease their process into paid employment.

GO welcomes those with learning disabilities, mental health issues, ex-offenders and those who are educationally disadvantaged.
