Girl cuts locks for a second time for charity

Thursday 08 February 2018

Freya Renouf has decided to cut her hair to raise money for charity, for a second time.

The eight year old will also donate her long locks to another charity so it can be used to make wigs for children suffering hair loss.

Freya's dad said she previously cut her hair for charity in 2014 and has been growing it back so it can be donated to the Little Princess Trust again.

Last time round she raised £417 for the charity too.

This time Freya will donate any money raised to help a local girl who has been diagnosed with leukaemia to help her family with any medical expenses.

John Renouf said he and his wife Kerry are both very proud of their daughter:

"We both feel very proud of Freya for donating the hair and for raising the money, she is a very giving child who will do whatever she can to help someone else."

Mr Renouf said Freya wants to cut her hair off for charity again as "it is a nice thing to do and she is pleased that she can help children who have lost their hair and also raise some money for a good cause."
