It's a case of 'the show must go on' this weekend as the Sark Mini Festival goes ahead despite some adverse weather warnings.
Although Manches-Iles cancelled its direct ferry crossing from France to Sark via Jersey for the Saturday - the Guernsey-Sark crossings are so far holding strong
The free event replaces the Sark Summer Festival which was originally intended to take place for the second time this weekend.
Mark Guillou, one of the organisers, is unfazed about the weather and said he and his team are looking forward to a weekend of live music and Sark living.
"We did all the set up on Wednesday and today for about four hours I've had this phone strapped to my ear making arrangements booking bands onto other boats etc.

"One of the Jersey bands, The Pirates, unfortunately can't make it now, they have work and can't leave on the Friday instead, we've looked into chartering a boat but it just wouldn't be possible.
"We do have most of the members of The Vault house band Spannerz so if all else fails I'll get on the drums, there'll be a show either way," he said.
The Pirates are the only band so far who won't be playing at the nine different venues across the island.
"We can't do anything about the weather, all the venues have outside and inside space. Sark Shipping have said there isn't an issue with them, they know what they're doing they'll just batten down the hatches unless it gets really bad.
"It's a 40 minute journey, we brought [our friend] sea sick Gaz over and even he wasn't sick," he said.
