The Battle of Britain Air Display returned in style this year with the full programme of events going ahead in blue, clear skies with only one small hitch.

The two and a quarter hour show dazzled the dozens of spectators who lined the east coast from Bordeaux to Jerbourg.

The event was disrupted for less than 10-mins as the Navy Wings Seafire was about to begin its display after a drone was spotted flying in the restricted zone.

But police quickly found the drone pilot and the event continued after a minor delay.
