An annual service to thank "all those whose lives revolve around the sea" has been held in Alderney, with a good turnout despite the wet weather.
Some of those on so-called 'dry land' were soaked to the skin while attending yesterday's service.
Alderney States Member Alex Snowdon was among those in attendance.

The ecumenical service was held at Braye Harbour from 10:30 yesterday, when the island was being pelted by rain.

The singing of hymns accompanied the prayers and blessings offered by the island's Christian leaders.
