Hundreds of people travelled to Guernsey from Alderney and Sark to show the King and Queen the "very best" of each island.

Les Cotils hosted the two islands with an address from the President of the States of Alderney William Tate, and a response from King Charles III, starting the proceedings for Alderney.

This was followed by an emotive reading of the Alderney Poem, and a tour of stalls and displays representing Alderney craft, culture, heritage, and sustainable energy plans.

Both the King and Queen met members of the public who had travelled to Guernsey from Alderney for the day.

The Seigneur addressed the King on behalf of Sark, before His Majesty responded. The King and Queen then enjoyed a performance in Serquaise by the Sark School, before meeting Occupied islanders, members of the emergency services, and members of the public who had travelled across to St Peter Port.

All in all, both the President of the States of Alderney and the Seigneur were very pleased with how their respective events went.
