With one of Guernsey's oldest registered charities celebrating its 150th anniversary this week, there have been a number of events to mark the occasion.
A birthday cake was shared among staff and volunteers at the GSPCA yesterday before nine of the team saw two seal pups be released back into the wild after more than a year recuperating and building their strength at the animal shelter.
With more than 400 animals under its care at the moment the charity had to carry on with business as usual including training sessions for new volunteers.
