Footes Lane to host family day out for Sports & Arts Lottery

Tuesday 16 April 2019

A mini Olympics, beer and cider festival and other family entertainment will accompany the announcement of this year's Guernsey Sports & Arts Lottery winners.

Organisers of the day out at Footes Lane on 4 May are promising an 'extravaganza' of family activities, where the winners of five Fiat 500 cars, donated by Mont Saint Garage, will be announced from those who have bought Guernsey Sports & Arts Lottery tickets.

The Guernsey Sports & Arts Lottery Commission, chaired by Martin Belcher, has teamed up with Charlie McHugh of the Guernsey Rugby Club to organise the day, which will feature a Mini Olympics made up of ten different sports, entertainment including face painting, bouncy castles and Crown & Anchor and a beer & cider festival that will showcase around fifteen mainstream and craft drinks.

“The aim of “MAYTHE4THBEWITHYOU is to raise much needed funds for families and individuals within the Guernsey community from the proceeds of Sports & Arts Lottery tickets," said Mr Belcher.

“We want as many families, individuals and visitors to Guernsey to buy tickets in advance for an unmissable day out. Footes Lane is an iconic sports location in Guernsey and there is entertainment for all the family from Mini Olympics to local bands performing live and from a variety of food stall holders to the very best beers and ciders from within and outside Guernsey.”

Tickets start at £5.00 for an adult entry fee or £2.50 for children up to 16 years of age, with special offers for families.

#MAYTHE4THBEWITHYOU will be open from 10:00 on Saturday 4 May 2019. More information about booking and the day itself can be found at www.eventguernsey.com/events.
