Flying Christine deployed to Herm

Friday 17 August 2018

The Flying Christine was sent to Herm yesterday evening.

It was requested by Herm first responders for a patient with an ankle injury.

A paramedic and emergency medical technician travelled to Herm on the Flying Christine.

On arrival the medical crew assessed and treated the patient before transporting them back to St Peter Port and onto the Emergency Department at the PEH for further treatment.

The extraction from Herm was successful, St John said.

The Flying Christine III is the ambulance boat that is operated by the St John Ambulance Service.

Over the course of yesterday, a spokesperson for the service said, they had to respond to a number of other medical conditions, falls and a road traffic collision.
