A Blue Islands operated flight has had to divert to Jersey as a precaution.
Flght BE6337, from Southampton to Guernsey yesterday afternoon, landed safely in Jersey, with 38 passengers and four crew onbaord.
It had diverted there following "a technical issue detected with one of the aircraft’s hydraulic systems."
The ATR 72 aircraft landed "safely and without incident" in Jersey, where it was met by the airport’s emergency services "as a precautionary measure as is standard procedure in such instances."
All passengers disembarked normally and were being transferred to another Blue Islands aircraft for the onwards trip to Guernsey. Blue Islands’ engineers are now conducting a full investigation into the cause of the technical fault.
Meanwhile; the airline apologised for the "inconvenience experienced."
