Clifftop hotel, Fermain Valley and all its attributing assets including the cinema, entertainment venue, restaurants and staff accommodation is up for sale at £9m.

The Ziggurat Hotel in St Peter Port, also owned by the Vista Group, is also now on the market for £2.45m.

Colliers International’s Hotels Agency division has been appointed to market the four-star hotel and they are seeking offers in the region of £9 million for the freehold interest.

The listing on their website describes the hotel as: "Set in 3.35 acres on a beautiful, cliff top position the property enjoys stunning views out to sea encompassing the neighbouring islands of Herm, Sark and Jersey, and even France on a clear day."

"The hotel features 45 boutique bedrooms, fabulous public areas (including some of the island’s finest restaurants); an indoor swimming pool; a large alfresco terrace with stunning sea views; a private cinema and modern events room. Aside from the trading areas, the sale also includes a 3-bedroom cottage and 54 staff bedrooms spread across onsite and nearby properties."

Tim Coates, Commercial Director of the hotel, said: "The hotel is listed to establish the market value of the property in the current economic tourist climate in Guernsey."

Currently, the restaurants The Rockgarden, Buho, and the Ocean Bar & Grill are all inside the hotel, along with a set of adventure rooms which recently opened.

And while Mr Coates stressed the listing was to establish its value, the property has has been on sale since earlier this year.

Paul Barrasford, a Director in the Hotels Agency team at Colliers International, commented on their site: “This is a rare opportunity to acquire a hotel and associated properties in one of the island’s most picturesque locations.

"The hotel’s product offering is fantastic and supports an impressive trading performance, whilst the array of ancillary properties offers significant development potential. We expect to receive a substantial level of interest in this exciting opportunity.”
