Guernseyman Alex Robertshaw's band Everything Everything has been nominated for two Ivor Novello awards.

The band, who have already received critical acclaim in the past, have been shortlisted for the Album Award for "A Fever Dream" and the Best Song award for "Can't do".

Other nominations in those categories include Magnificent by Elbow and No One Knows Me Like the Piano by Sampha in the Best Song category and Gang Signs & Prayer by Stormzy and Moonshine Freeze by This is the Kit.

The winners in each category will be announced at the award ceremony, hosted by Paul Gambaccini, at the Grosvenor House, London on Thursday 31 May 2018.

Mr Robertshaw is the most recent member to join the band and is the lead guitarist. He joined replacing the previous guitarist, and since 2010, the band have enjoyed ever increasing success.

A Fever Dream, their nominated album, was released in August 2017, and peaked at 5th on the UK charts.
