Police closed South Esplanade as they dealt with two incidents around the Bus Terminus yesterday afternoon.

Emergency services were called out after a collision involving a pedestrian.

As that work unfolded, a fight broke out between a group of youngsters.

One young person was arrested following this separate incident and enquiries are ongoing,” Guernsey Police said.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital, but their injuries were not thought to be serious at the time.

The incident happened at about 4.40pm with the road reopened before 5pm.
