Emergency closure of section of Braye Road from today

Wednesday 16 March 2022

A section of Braye Road is closing for a week from 09:30 this morning.

Guernsey Electricity needs to repair a high voltage electrical fault in the section of road between Sohier Road and the Braye Road Industrial Estate.

The emergency road closure will divert traffic through Sohier Road, Maison au Compte, Ville Baudu and Route Militaire.

Braye Road Industrial Estate will be accessible from the Route Militaire end.

The States' Traffic and Highways Division, which is part of the Committee for the Environment & Infrastructure, last night requested drivers "not to cut through small neighbourhood roads in an attempt to shortcut the roadworks".
