The features and colourings of Guernsey and Jersey cows have been questioned and debated by hundreds of members of a Facebook group known for highlighting some of the dullest topics on the planet.
The 'Dull Men's Club' has 145,900 members and features discussions on things like the weight of Shredded Wheat, the best vegetables to use in soup and the positive attributes of rubbish tips in France.
Yesterday, one of the group's users pointed out that bottles of Jersey Whole Milk on sale in Tesco in the UK, have pictures of Guernsey cows on them.

The post sparked hundreds of comments, including many from people asking what are the differences between the two breeds of cow.
April Frances, who posted the original query, is from Jersey and she explained that as well as the two types of cattle having different shaped faces they are often very different in colour and size too.

The Guernsey breed is fawn or white in colour, often with patches of the two. Considered "hardy and docile" the cattle remain renowned worldwide for the milk produced.
Jersey cows are similarly renowned for their milk.
Traditionally, they are smaller animals than the Guernsey breed with its colour across all shades of brown, from light tan to almost black.
They often have a lighter band around their muzzles with dark hooves and a dark switch of hair on the end of their tails.
In response to the post, some of the dull men responded calling it an "udderly" disgraceful mix-up, a "moo-mentous fail" and a "missteak".
