At the time, Guernsey Police only said that an incident had occurred which was being investigated and they asked for any witnesses to come forward.
Now they've widened that to say they are trying to identify the couple captured on CCTV walking along Upland Road shortly after the initial incident. The CCTV filmed them at 20:31, passing the rear entrance to Elizabeth College.
In a statement issued alongside the CCTV footage, Guernsey Police said they believe the man is called Simon but help is needed to identify the couple.
"We are releasing this CCTV to try and identify the circled couple. We believe the male is called Simon, and they are in possession of a small dog.
"This releates to an incident which occurred about 20:30 on Sunday 17 November 2019 at Arsenal Road, St Peter Port (outside the Fire Station) between two couples, who had dogs with them.
"Anyone who can ID the couple, or has any information, is asked to contact Police on 725111 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
