Disney+ on its way to the Channel Islands

Tuesday 24 March 2020

Despite concerns that it might not make its way to Guernsey, Disney's new streaming service, Disney Plus will be available in the Channel Islands from next month.

The service launched in the UK this morning, after starting up in the US last year.

Although the service is not yet available in the Bailiwick, Disney confirmed to Express that it will launch in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man on 2 April.

It has promised to give people access to Disney exclusive programmes like High School Musical, while subscribers will also get access to various other titles owned by Disney, including Marvel, Pixar, Fox, National Geographic and Star Wars.

In the UK, the service costs £5.99 a month or £59.99 a year, with a free week trial after signing up.
