The play park at Delancey Park will be looking its best again soon, with a replacement being ordered for a broken part and new woodchips being ordered to soften the play area.
Concerns were raised about the deteriorating condition of the popular facility on Facebook a few days ago.
The play park which opened in 2012, to replace the previous equipment which had become dated and dangerous, has three separate zones.
There is one aimed at younger children with two zones aimed at older children.

The States Property Unit which is responsible for overseeing things like playgrounds said the areas which need attention are due to be corrected soon.
“The Delancey Park playground equipment was installed in 2012. It is inspected weekly by States Property Unit, with an annual inspection carried out by a company that specialises in children’s sport and play equipment.
“We are aware that the woodchip surfacing at Delancey Park requires replacement and we are seeking quotations for that work.
“One item of equipment has a broken net and a replacement has been ordered which will be installed by one of our team as soon as it arrives."
Elsewhere at Delancey Park, new planters have been positioned around the pavilion/toilets.
With Delancey play park now 11 years old it is considered to be in the latter years of its lifespan, but the States Property Unit said it remains in good condition with more years of use ahead of it.
“We would expect equipment like this to last between 10-15 years depending on usage and weathering," the Unit said. "Generally, the equipment is in good condition for its age.”
