An avid cyclist and cycle salesman has set himself a mammoth challenge to coincide with Ian Brown’s 30 Rides in 30 Days challenge.
Chris Earles is a salesman at Ian Brown’s and will be taking part in the charitable event to raise money for Les Bourgs Hospice, while also attempting to cycle up the Val des Terres 30 times in three hours.
He said: “The Val des Terres is renowned as one of the steepest hills in Guernsey – and to tie in with the 30-30 theme, I decided to really test myself and attempt 30 climbs in three hours, and at the same time raise funds for such a good cause.”

“As a keen cyclist I wanted to take part in the Ian Brown’s Cycle Shop 30 Rides in 30 Days, but I was keen to push myself even further,” Chris continued.
He’ll be climbing the half-a-mile long road tomorrow and is looking for support from members of the public.
Ian Brown said: “The 30 Rides challenge has been extremely successful since 2008 and has raised a grand total of £892k for Les Bourgs.
“This year we hope to make it to a million pounds if we can raise the £108k needed and Chris could help us reach this milestone.”
You can sponsor Chris ONLINE and he’ll begin his attempt at 07:00.
