Constable and Douzenier seats up for grabs as St Peter Port goes to the polls

Tuesday 19 November 2024

With one Constable position contested by two candidates, and six Douzenier positions sought after by eight candidates, officials say they’re expecting a hotly contested set of elections in St Peter Port.

Voting takes place at either the Constable’s Office, or Beau Sejour, between 10.00 and 16.00 on Wednesday 20 November.

A Constable's primary responsibility is to manage the day-to-day administration of their home Parish. They attend monthly meetings, and represent their fellow parishioners.

A Douzenier’s responsibilities include advising the constables on the day to day runnings of the Parish.

Constable Candidates:

Kenneth John Acott

Christopher Paul Nicolle

Douzenier Candidates:

Barry John Cash

Odette Lyla Duerden

Rosemarie Anne Henderson

Rachael McCutcheon

Diane Elizabeth Mitchell

Thomas Benjamin Moore

Philip Lawrence Smith

Joyce Olivia Tonkinson

Other parish elections are due to be held next week in St Peter's, St Saviour's and St Andrew's.
