Congestion set to ease as some roadworks come to an end

Thursday 10 November 2022

There will be good news for some motorists over the next day or so, as some of the island's busiest routes reopen after being closed for roadworks.

Among those reopening today are Le Vauquidor and the Foulon Road, both in St Peter Port.

Both those roads were said to be reopening at 06:00 on Thursday 10 November.

Braye Road in the Vale and Le Friquet in the Castel are both due to reopen at 06:00 on Friday 11 November.

A spokesperson for Traffic and Highways Services said "works in the following road sections are nearing completion and will reopen at the following times."

This comes after a busy few days of roadworks across Guernsey, with a number of main roads closed and others used for diversions or made one way to prevent lanes being used as 'rat-runs'.
