Condor changes schedule as Storm Eunice looms

Thursday 17 February 2022

Condor Ferries is making further changes to its schedule as it prepares for poor conditions in the Channel caused by Storm Eunice.

It has cancelled tomorrow morning's sailing of the Commodore Clipper, which would have carried freight and passengers. And there will be no high speed sailings for passengers on the Poole or St Malo routes tomorrow or on Saturday.

Passengers are being offered transfers to alternative services.

A replacement Commodore Clipper sailing is now scheduled from Portsmouth to the islands on Friday night. It will then dock in St Malo on Saturday for freight and passengers affected by the storm.

This is in addition to Thursday’s sailings of the Condor Liberation and Condor Voyager to Poole and St Malo respectively.

Elwyn Dop, Condor’s Executive Director of Operations, said: “We recognise that this is an important time of the year for everyone, so we are doing everything proactively we can to support travel to and from the islands at the start of the half term holiday.

“The situation is evolving very quickly and the plans we have in place are designed to minimise inconvenience and delays.

“We know that weather is unpredictable and may change from the current forecasts, so we continue to assess the situation and will notify everyone over the next 24 to 48 hours of other plans.

“All of our other services therefore remain under review until Monday 21 February.”
