Condor Liberation suffers issue

Thursday 20 June 2019

Condor has explained what happened to the Condor Liberation this afternoon, after she unexpectedly had to return to Poole after setting sail for Guernsey.

The ferry needed an inspection but no further details have yet been given about what the problem was.

The ferry firm said the sailing will now arrive into the islands later than planned and the schedules have been amended for the rest of today.

"Condor Liberation returned to Poole harbour this afternoon for a minor inspection before continuing her journey to the Islands," a spokesperson said.

"The assessment was completed around 16:00 and she will depart for Guernsey at 16:50, arriving in St Peter Port at 19:50 and then on to Jersey.

"Adjustments have been made to Condor’s schedules for the remainder of today to re- accommodate passengers affected by the delay."
