It’s time for a tipple and whether you’re going alcohol free or alcohol full we’ve gathered up some Christmas cocktails from those in the know.

Milk and Cookies (The Cove) 

Baileys  

Velvet Disaronno  

Splash of fireball and milk  

Served with a small cookie

Christmas Spirit (La Reunion)  

Black Cow Christmas Spirit Vodka – 25ml 

Beaujolais Nouveou Wine – 50ml 

Villa Sandi Millesimato Prosecco – 50ml 

Cranberry Juice – 25ml 

Apple Juice – 25ml 

Frozen Cranberries 

Method: Build ingredients in Gin Goblet, Stir and top with Prosecco.

White Christmas (Balthazar) 

Disaronno Velvet - 25ml 

Ciroc Red Berries - 20ml 

Limoncello - 15ml 

Cacau white - 15ml 

Double cream - 20ml 

Method: All ingredients shaken with ice, double strained and served into a Martini glass. Red currants for garnish and sugar powder to decorate 

Mocktails 

Of course, you don’t need alcohol to have fun and the Health Improvement Commission has suggested a few 0% festive treats. 

“Cocktails as well as alcohol free beers, ciders and prosecco’s are a great alternative to reduce the amount of alcohol units that we might be drinking over the festive period and a fantastic way to start the night whether celebrating out and about or at home,” said Substance Abuse Lead, Andrea Nightingale. 

“Just remember how much better the next morning will feel!” 

Christmas Cosmopolitan 

Fresh raspberry puree – 50ml 

Cranberry juice – 150ml 

Lime juice – 25ml 

Sugar syrup – 25ml 

Method: Using fresh raspberries, crush or blend the fruit into a puree. Pour in the cranberry juice and sugar syrup. Squeeze a lime to extract the fresh juice and pour into the mixture. Top with ice and shake. 

Gingle Bell Slingless 

Seedlip Gin 0% - 50ml 

Pineapple juice – 150ml 

Lime juice – 25ml 

Sugar Syrup – 25ml 

Dash of bitters 

Method: Mix together the Seedlip Gin, pineapple juice, and grenadine. Squeeze a lime to extract the fresh juice and pour into the mixture. Add a dash of bitters and serve with ice.
